BENJI BROWN REVEALS POIGNANT NEW SINGLE ‘LET IT ALL GO’
OUT NOW – LISTEN HERE
“flawlessly smooth” – Complex
22-year-old pop artist Benji Brown returns with his reflective yet sumptuous new single ‘Let It All Go’.
Delivered with an impressive air of confidence, the slick new single has a laid-back feel that proves cathartic to even the most soothed souls. Its permeations of deep bass hold down a soundscape of twinkling piano, jangly guitar and wavering synths.
Speaking of the single, Benji said: “‘Let It All Go’ is about a past relationship. It’s about leaving someone behind when you didn’t want to but knowing it’s best for yourself. After some time you try to reconnect again but the initial scars that hurt are still hurting, it’s time to let it all go and move on.”
‘Let It All Go’ is the third single to come from Benji Brown, who is also the younger brother of world-renowned singer VV Brown. His previous single ‘Yesterday’s Love’ was inspired by an unreleased demo by the Shark In the Water singer.
Since launching as an artist last year, Benji has picked up some serious media attention, with the likes of Complex hailing his debut as “devastatingly charming and uplifting” and “flawlessly smooth”, and Notion Magazine premiering the follow up ‘Yesterday’s Love’.
Growing up in Northampton the 22-year-old, who now lives in London, was surrounded by music from a young age. “Music has always been a part of my life. Growing up surrounded by powerful songwriters I’ve never felt I could compete, until now. With age has come a maturity in my music and artistry that is a commentary of emotions over the past year.”
