Aftersound teams up with United Nations for charity release
AfterSound, the independent electronic-rock duo hailing from Chicago, has teamed up with the United Nations Relief & Works Agency (UNRWA) to help support the UN’s emergency relief effort in Gaza. The band, whose sound resembles that of infamous rock outfits One Republic and Imagine Dragons, is donating 100% of the sales of their inspiring track “Stand Tall” to the UN in an effort to raise both funds and awareness for the needs of those struggling in Gaza. “We are excited and extremely grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this with UNRWA. To be able to use music to give back and make a difference is one of the main reasons I pursued a career in it a couple of years ago,” says AfterSound front man Zain Lodhia. “We really hope it benefits the people who need it right now.”
The video is already closing in on 3,000 views in a matter of days. The band is also coming off of successful shows at the Hard Rock Cafe and other popular Chicago venues, and will soon join the stage with pop-punk favorites Eve 6 in October and Hawthorne Heights in November. “They’re one of our emerging artists, that’s for sure,” says band manager Jason Lottmann, who founded Star Crossed Artist Group earlier this year. “These guys have such a terrific knack for crafting good pop songs, and you pair that with their amazing live show, and this easily becomes the first of many big opportunities for them.”
