The Brigantes release ‘Racket’ video and give away free download
Hailing from Halifax, West Yorkshire, The Brigantes are making waves with a rare groove that has come from a mixture of Reggee and Ska, which developed following an upbringing influenced by the various member’s parents love for those catchy genres. Add in a bit of Hip-Hop along with a Punk attitude, and it all makes for a heady brew that makes The Brigantes stand out from the usual Indie sound that is prevalent at the moment.
It is so refreshing to hear Ebonnie, 20 (Vocals, Guitar), Harrison, 19 (Vocals), Jordan, 18 (Bass) and Drew, 18 (Percussion), making a sound that makes you want to move your feet. Some locals have christened it ‘Halifax dance hall’.
Following a series of successful shows, including support slots for Dirty Revolution and The Booze and Blues Festival, The Brigantes have teamed up with the Arch-Way Project to record a performance video for the wonderfully infectious track Racket.
The Arch-Way Project (Halifax) provide a space, time and facilities to those in the community that could do with their help. Racket is available for free download here:
